Choice Project
Summary:
I chose to do another montage image because I really enjoyed the different lighting in each photo. Also I had not really worked with repetition so I thought a montage photo would fit that rule of composition. I hope the viewer will see how when taking a picture of the scenery society will get in the way of the beauty. All the cars are representing society.

Arts Walk
I was surprised about the venue that I performed in because it was very small but still worked. It was kind of hard to get to so I was surprised about the amount of people who showed up
One thing I really enjoyed was watching my friend Mia dance at the end and I also enjoyed the visual art that I saw at the end.

Portrait Fun Edit
Summary:
In this edit I was surprised to see that inverting an image can help the overall concept or idea because before I thought it was just a weird tool that barely got used but now I see how it helps. I also learned a few new short cuts to use. Also that it is always best to copy your image which is helpful. Editing the photo also accented her helping emphasize leading lines as composition.

Portrait CS
Summary:
My overall plan was to take very natural photos and capture the energy and vibes that someone can give off. One technique I used was when I was in the studio I had multiple people so they could get energy from each other and act more natural.. Also I made sure not to edit the images to much to capture who they are and not some magazine photo of them.

white BALANCE
In the activity we learned about how white balance affects a photograph. In this experiment we set the camera on auto and took photos of the same white piece of paper under different lightnings as seen on the contact sheet. This showed us that to capture the color that is there or the color that is wanted you have to adjust the white balance.
Montage
When taking photos today I learned how take many photos of one overall image. In the process you find where to stand and moves your camera in rows. However I learned that you should not start taking photos right in front of you and that you should turn slightly.
When going into Photoshop on the computer I learned how to put all the images together. I kept the lighting funky because I thought it added to the photograph as a whole. I messed with the lighting a little just to add and emphasize the lighting.

Motion project
Weekend Sharp Section:
Sharp Action:
Summary:
In the sharp action exploration we took photos of of our group jumping. We set up the camera on "Tv" mode. Our shutter speed was at 400 so we could get the quick action. Our ISO was at a manual setting as well as the aperture. We held down the photo bottom to take a burst of photos.

Blurred Motion
Summary:
For this project we had to slow the camera speed down to 30th of second, the other settings stayed the same We did this because we wanted the motion of the subject to be blurred rather than capturing a quick moment of the movement like yesterday. By slowing the shutter speed down and without moving the camera the subject will have a purposeful blur.

Panning:
Summary:
In this exploration we we did panning. WE had the camera set at a relatively low aperture and the shutter speed was around 200. The ISO was automatically set. With these settings we stood in one place and picked a car then followed it and took photos. From this the image would then have a blurred background with the car/subject in focus.

SEQUENTIAL narrative 03/01/17
For this project we used a fast shutter speed to catch a lot of movement in a short amount of time. So when I shot the photos of my mom I put my camera on a fast shutter speed and help down the button and took many photos at once. Also known as a burst.

Reflection:
Photo One; "My Body My Right"
The story of this photo is relating to the current issue about women's rights following the election. So I chose to demonstrate how many women are feeling and how open they are about what they want.
The visual cues include the writing on her back, her fingers running through her hair and looking about to the world. I also edited the photo to give the model an unreal feeling, giving her power and strength.
The best part of this image is the open back and the curly hair, giving the photo almost a causal feeling.
Photo Two; " Self Judgement"
The story of this photo is showing that even if you have a so called "model body" one can still have self image issues.
The visual cues in the story are; the scale, the clothes she is wearing (how little she is wearing), and the lastly the location.
The best part of the image is how the model is aligned with the borders of the doorway. This strengthens the images composition.

Summary:
Eastman Kodak was the first person to create a camera that could be handheld and the average civilian could purchase and it took relatively good photographs. These photos were shot on film and were printed in a dark room. This later lead to the disposable cameras of Kodak that were very popular in the early 2000's.
